Announcements - May 22
Even with the end of the Training Year approaching, we still have a lot of events coming up.
TRAINING
We are getting down to the crunch and there are a few, mostly Level 3s and 4s,with outstanding POs for their level. These POs are necessary for completion of level training and promotions. OCdt Boychyn will be at Band on Monday May 28th from 1800-2100 if cadet want to come in to complete their assessments.
If you are unsure what you have outstanding please email 715mohawktraining@gmail.com and the TrgO will let you know.
WONDERLAND - MAY 26
Cadets going on the Wonderland Trip are to meet at the Legion by 0800 and the bus will be leaving NLT 0830. More information and the permission form are available on our Resource Page
Payment, permission forms and HEALTH CARDS are MANDATORY
GLIDING - MAY 27
Gliding on May 27 is in the AM, apologies for the miscommunication.
Where: Meet at the Legion, 828 Legion Rd.
When: 0800-1200 (Return time is approximate. We will send out message when cadets are returning to legion)
Dress: Long pants and closed toed shoes. We also recommend cadets bring a hat, sunglasses, water, snacks and something to sit on as we will be in an open field all afternoon.
HEALTH CARDS ARE MANDATORY
ACR DRESS REHEARSAL - MAY 29
Next Tuesday cadets will be in Full Uniform for our Dress Rehearsal. Consider this a mini-annual. Therefore parents you are invited and encouraged to attend the entire night as we will be awarding presentations to cadets; including level badges and promotions.
ANNUAL CEREMONIAL REVIEW - JUN 9
Our ACR is a very important part of our training year and is a chance for cadets to show off what they learnt and to celebrate a successful year. This is a mandatory event for ALL cadets. If you are unable to make it you must notify the CO with an explanation ASAP. You can do so by email the squadron at 715mohawk@gmail.com.
Parents and Friends: If you are attending please RSVP. Cadets do not need to RSVP as it is expected that they will be in attendance unless they have notified the CO. We are also looking for parents to help our by bringing food for lunch and our reception. You can sign up to bring an item at our sign up page.
YEAR END BBQ AND SUMMER CAMP INFO NIGHT - JUN 12
As part of our end of year tradition we always have a BBQ and waterfight the Tuesday following our ACR. So cadets get you water guns ready.
Parents on this night we will be providing a Camp Information presentation for those who have cadets attending Summer Training this year. Please stick around that night for information as well as joining instructions.
SUMMER FTX - JUN 15-17
This weekend we will be heading to Kelso Conservation Area for our Summer FTX. This will be a fun weekend, different from other FTXs, in part because there will be a beach!!!
Make sure you sign up on our sign up page by the deadline of May 31st @ midnight. .
MESS DINNER - JUN 19
This year we are hosting our 1st Annual Mess Dinner. This is a traditional military style dinner just for the cadets. This is a lot of fun and a great experience for the cadets. Cadets will have an opportunity to learn about various fun and interesting military traditions and a formal dinner with their friends and peers.
Cadets are authorized to wear Mess Dress for this occasion which means a white dress shirt and Bow Tie! If they are not in Mess Dress they are to wear C1s (Full Dress)
Tickets can be purchased from the SSC for $10. Bow ties may also be purchased from the SSC for $10 (which is a steal once you start shopping around for bow ties)
Deadline for purchasing tickets will be Jun 12th at our year end BBQ.
