Cancellation of Cadet Activities

715 Burlington Cadets,

I just received information that all Cadet related activities will be cancelled at the local, Provincial and National levels effective immediately through to 31 August 2020. This includes, but is not limited to local training, corps and squadron trips, as well as cadet summer training opportunities.

At 715 Squadron, we do plan to continue our virtual approach through google classroom, virtual esprit de corps activities and our virtual parade night, but we will not be physically meeting again during this training year.

There may also be the possibility of connecting virtually at the regional, Provincial or National level. Details to follow.

Please note that most cadets will not be penalized for missing the remainder of the 2019-2020 training year, and will be credited as having this year’s training completed (Note: some exceptions will apply).

I know that we still had so much to accomplish this training year, including 2 field training exercises, a March Break Trip, community service activities our Annual Ceremonial Review, Change of Command and the retirement of our Senior Cadets. To those who had received offers for summer training, I'm so sorry that those opportunities had been cancelled.

I'm sure that you can all agree that this is unfortunate, but completely understandable. Covid-19 is terrifying.

Please remember that I, along with the Officer Staff and SSC are here for support.

Sincerely,

Captain Denise Ohanian-May

Commanding Officer

715 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron
